Rules and Regulations
A. Any and all cars that show up will be allowed in the derby on Saturday, September 27. Gates will open at 10:00 and the show will start at 1:00.
B. All rules and Regulations must be Observed.
Track Operators or Promoters reserve the right to approve or reject any and all entries.
C. Only owners and mechanics will be permitted in the on the track.
D. No cars will be permitted on the track before the event they are to participate in.
E. No Alcoholic Beverages or Illegal Substances allowed in the pit area; drivers who are suspected to be under the influence will be disqualified along with their cars.
F. Tires must be stock size.
4 ply only, no inner liner, no truck tires, no snow or mud treads. NO FOAM FILLED TIRES!
Drivers Entry
Drivers must be 18 years old of age.
All Drivers must supply their own cars. Entries limited to 2 cars per driver.
Any Driver not obeying the rules will be disqualified, along with their cars.
Numbers must be on both sides and roof of car. Numbers must be identified on Registration form, otherwise a number may be assigned to you on the day of the event.
No obscenity of any kind displayed on car.
Participating Regulations
Any Stock Hardtop Automobile Wagon Is Allowed
No trucks, jeeps, vans, hearses, school buses, etc. Will be allowed. No Alterations. No Welded Rear-Ends
Brakes must work.
All Glass and Chrome Trim and anything that might become embedded in the track must be removed from the car before bringing automobile to the grounds. Also car and trunk must be cleaned out. Don’t leave broken glass in doors. Clean them out. Windshield is Optional.
A maximum of 3 Gallons of Gasoline Will be Allowed. Gas Tanks must be moved to the trunk, only if the tank is located behind the rear axle. Tanks will be allowed in drivers compartment only if covered with a separate metal cover. Only One (1) Stock Car Battery is Allowed.
No Reinforcements of Any Kind Will be Allowed. Except the driver’s side door. Trailer hitches must be removed.
Safety Belts and Helmets ARE Required. Airbags must be disabled. Fire Extinguishers are required in the driver’s compartment, and must be secured within the driver’s reach. All doors must be welded or chained shut. If the driver’s side door comes open he will be disqualified.
Driver’s May Maneuver Forward or Backward. No deliberate head-on collisions or deliberately ramming driver’s door. This can lead to disqualification.
The Judges Will Set A Time Limited Within Which To Hit Other Cars. If a driver does not hit a car within the limit, this can lead to disqualification. Do Not Play Possum.
Use rope to keep hoods and truck lids down. Do not weld or bolt the hoods or trunk lids down.
Drivers Side Door Must Be Painted White
A 12 by 15 inch hole must be cut in the center of the hood.
Additional Safety Regulations May be Imposed Depending on the track.
